I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who stopped by and showed support for my cousin in her time of need. Her mom actually teared up a bit when she saw that journal - she hasn't been a b eliever of the kindness of strangers lately, so it was heart warming for her. I'm happy to say that Sunday, the doctors were able to take my cousin off the breathing apparatus that had been keeping her alive and breathing. The reason? She was finally able to breathe on her own. She finally was able to see her son, though she couldn't hold him but her husband's a useful sort and did that for her. I have to say, it was really, really bleak for more than a few days there. Special machines had to be sent to the hospital, the staff had to be trained while my aunt watched with confusion. Her doc, who was sorely absent at times and silent at others, finally started proving his degree meant something and well...she's on the road to recovery. She's going to have to undergo more testing and a physical therapy regime but she's not in danger anymore. I just wanted to let you all know - and well, maybe myself too because I need to believe it - it helped. Your well wishes and good thoughts really helped. She's a fighter, like her mom but if you'd seen her when things were at the worst...you'd not have thought it possible to recover. So thank you.
...I guess that's all I can say. Language is too simplistic to describe how happy I am she's getting better and how much I appreaciate your well wishes.
